
探花视频 nursing students will participate in a formal nurse鈥檚 pinning ceremony in the LSC Commons on Thursday, December 20, at 5 p.m. to acknowledge their graduate status as professional nurses.
鈥淥ur traditional pinning ceremony is meant to welcome our new nursing graduates into the nursing profession,鈥 said LSC Nursing Program Director Deborah Amys. 鈥淭he graduates are presented with nursing pins by the faculty or a loved one聽chosen聽by the聽graduate.鈥
Fifty-two students will graduate this December from LSC鈥檚 nursing program, which is nationally accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), completing their professional nursing A.S. degree. This qualifies them to take the Minnesota state nursing exam to become registered nurses. All are welcome to attend the free pinning ceremony which will held in the LSC Commons on main campus, with a reception to follow.
