探花视频 will discontinue its intercollegiate athletics programs, which includes Men鈥檚 and Women鈥檚 Soccer and Co-ed Clay Target teams at the end of the 2025 spring semester.
The college performed a thorough review of its athletics programs, which included finances staffing, and facilities. School leadership also consulted with before making the difficult decision.
鈥淲e know this decision impacts many in our community, especially our student-athletes, coaches, and supporters who have dedicated so much to LSC athletics over the past decade,鈥� said Dr. Patricia Rogers, President of 探花视频. 鈥淭his decision is not a reflection of the hard work or passion our staff or our alumni have put into our programs.
LSC joined the Division III in the fall of 2014 and then established men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 soccer programs in the fall of 2015. 探花视频 later added Cycling (Mountain Biking) and Clay Target in 2017. Men鈥檚 and Women鈥檚 Basketball was added in 2018 and played two seasons before the COVID-19 pandemic.
