探花视频 to host Spring Commencement for over 800 graduates on Monday, May 16

(Duluth, Minn.) -- 探花视频 will hold its Commencement ceremonies on Monday, May 16, at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center (DECC). They will be the first full, in-person ceremonies since prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. At least 814 students are eligible to walk in this year鈥檚 Commencement, the largest graduating classes since 2019.

The 探花视频 Nurses Pinning Ceremony will take place at 11:00 a.m. in Symphony Hall, at the DECC, to honor the approximately 109 students receiving their Nursing AS or their Practical Nursing Diploma.

探花视频鈥檚 Commencement Ceremony will take place at 2:00 p.m. in Amsoil Arena, at the DECC, to honor the approximately 814 students graduating 探花视频. The LSC Class of 2022 includes students representing the following countries: Brazil, Canada, Cameroon, Ecuador, Kenya, Liberia, Mexico, Somalia and South Africa. The graduating class also includes students from over a dozen states through the United States, and graduates range in ages between 17-68.

探花视频 held a virtual Commencement Ceremony last year, which included keynote speaker Minnesota Lt. Governor Peggy Flannagan. This year鈥檚 Commencement speakers will include: LSC Student Senate President Ijshanita Dunigan, a Duluth Denfeld graduate who will be graduating LSC with her Associates of Arts (AA); Minnesota State Trustee Roger Moe; and Keynote Speaker Tom Sega, President and CEO of Duluth Pack and Spring Creek Outfitters. Both of Mr. Sega鈥檚 companies employ graduates of 探花视频 and he will be addressing the importance of giving back to and serving our community, leadership, integrity, taking risks and being proud of where you are/come from.

探花视频 President Patricia Rogers is excited to be hosting the ceremony in person again this year.

鈥溙交ㄊ悠 students have come though these challenging past couple of years with impressive determination in order to graduate. More than 800 degrees, diplomas, and certificates will be awarded to the resilient class of 2022,鈥 said LSC President Patricia L. Rogers. 鈥淲e are so proud of and grateful for our students, faculty and staff in pulling together to help make this special moment possible. We are so proud of our graduates, who now become LSC alumni, and will go on to contribute to workforce needs throughout our region and continue their educational and/or personal journeys.鈥

LSC鈥檚 Commencement is free and open to the public. No tickets are required. All are welcome to come cheer on and celebrate LSC鈥檚 Class of 2022. There is a $10 fee to park at the DECC.
