As an outcome of the 2019 legislative session, the Minnesota Legislature and Governor Walz approved an appropriation that added $7 million to a scholarship program for students at Minnesota State colleges and universities who are pursuing programs that prepare graduates for careers in high demand sectors, including healthcare, aviation and manufacturing. This action substantially expands a $1 million pilot program that initially awarded hundreds of scholarships throughout Minnesota in the 2018-2019 academic year. 探花视频 Foundation will offer over $60,000 in workforce development scholarships this upcoming academic year, in addition to over $300,000 in traditional scholarships and grant offered annually by LSC Foundation. Students and potential students will be able to apply for workforce development scholarships beginning in August.
